Stressing Stress***

"The entirety of external factors disrupting homeostasis of a living organism" is how Walter B. Cannon described STRESS

Stress is what we feel when we have an upcoming exam that cover chapters 1-20 three days from now. Our body responds to stress in many ways such as releasing hormones, becoming resilient, and by controlling it. We have this innate mechanism called the General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) that occurs in our body to help us manage stress. We become pliable as we learn from the different circumstances the demands that they place on ourselves. The ability to control some of the circumstances in our live also allow us to avoid this kind of disruption in out lives. However, no matter how hard we try to cope, manage, or avoid it, stress will always be around...lurking.
